Next the Duke came knocking at our bedroom doors to relay a message from their son, Prince Alex of Philadelphia. He wanted us to see the eclipse of the moon. So we all went out, including Lassie, to watch the moon do it's eclipse thing. It was very interesting, especially the times we could see it come in and out from behind heavy clouds. But I'm glad we saw it, as it doesn't come around every year.

Today while Fifi was at the home of Piano Man, helping to fit a carpet in his newly redecorated bathroom, Juanita was having a Lassie moment. "Lassie" went running into Juanita's office, stopped, and made a series of Lassie gestures. Juanita asked,"what is it,Lassie? Is something wrong?" Lassie began making signals that could only mean, "Follow me, something is going on in the next room." Juanita quickly got up and followed Lassie to Fifi's bedroom door, where Lassie pointed at the door, as if to say, "Something is going on in there. We have to help." Juanita flung open the door to find Bubba and Sissy with their cage open, Bubba happily flying around the room. Alas, Lassie thought Fifi was in trouble, but it was a false alarm. But, what if it hadn't been and Juanita had not paid heed to Lassie's urgent request? Thank you, Lassie, you might have saved my life.
Now about Tuesday. We took a drive down the west coast all the way to St. Petersburg Beach. The day was lovely and the beaches were wonderful, as were the million+dollar homes along the Gulf. We especially liked Sand Key with it's wide, wide beaches. In the late afternoon we stopped at a local Cuban restaurant for lunch/dinner, then the drive home. It was another great day in the adventures of Fifi and Juanita.
P.S. On the way down to the coast we had an actual sighting of Elvis - no kidding - double click.
