Tuesday - Day 4

A leisurely day at the campground while having a minor RV repair. With everything A-OK ,we proceeded over to Mallory Sq. to catch the sunset and some street jugglers, tightrope walkers, magicians, mimes, etc.

F and J decided to have a small meal at Kelly's Caribbean Bar and Grille. (Whitehead and Caroline Sts.) The restaurant is located in the house and grounds of the birthplace of Pan American Airlines. The majority of the tables are downstairs in a courtyard filled with trees, tropical plants and decorative lights. Fifi didn't feel like embibing on Tuesday, so she couldn't comment on the wines. Dinner was a sharing of items: Caesar salad, bluecrab/avacado/mango martini, and jerk chicken egg rolls. Yummy! The egg rolls were a bit more spicy than expected, so Fifi had to finish them off, while Juanita indulged with the martini. ( I know - with a name like Juanita, one would think she would love spices)

After dinner we walked down to Duval St., one of the 3 main tourist areas. walked down to Sloppy Joes, one of Hemingway's main hangouts during his 10 year stint in Key West. We were able to avoid stopping at the Key Lime Pie Factory. Having accomplished that feat, we decided to quit while we were ahead and head on back to camp. (Once on Key West time, one finds what we did on Tuesday was quite exceptional, as everything slows down to a crawl here.)

Wednesday will be the Hemingway House tour and a more intense tour of the island.

Just started reading this rag. :) It's more interesting to me than Fifi's brother's dribble.

Your motto should be "All the news that fits, print."

Weird thing is, I recognize Juanita or Fifi, I just can't remember which one.

I think the contractor is either Ed or Sandy.

How lucky fortunate are with the weather. It looks bee-yoo-ti-ful. Thank your lucky stars you are not up here w. me in the Northeast. We are expecting another "wintry mix" tomorrow. Sigh. Have you found the boat Captain's bar w. the buxom women?
